In my video "Sony Hot Shoe Digital Microphones ECM-B1M (Shotgun) and ECM-W2BT (Wireless) plus ECM-LV1 (Lavalier)" I look at two microphones designed for Sony camera digital hot shoes. The ECM-B1M is a shotgun microphone designed to sit atop a Sony camera and digitally record directly to video. It has selectable sound fields (superdirectional, unidirectional, and hyperdirectional) and some good digital sound processing capabilities (low cut filter, noise cancellation, auto leveling). The ECM-W2BT is a wireless combo with mics in both the transmitter and receiver that can also be used with or without the ECM-LV1 stereo lavalier mic.
